Quick Start

Get started with X1NS in just a few minutes! This guide will walk you through registering your first domain.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • ✅ An X1-compatible wallet (Backpack recommended)
  • ✅ XNT tokens for registration (1-20 XNT depending on name length)
  • ✅ A few extra XNT for transaction fees

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

Visit x1ns.xyz and click Connect Wallet in the top right corner.

# Your wallet will prompt you to approve the connection
# Make sure you're on X1 mainnet

We recommend using Backpack wallet for the best experience with X1NS.

Step 2: Search for a Domain

Use the search bar to check if your desired domain is available.

Naming Rules

Domain names must follow these rules:

  • Length: 1-64 grapheme characters
  • Characters: Letters, numbers, hyphens, emoji, Unicode
  • Case: Lowercase only (for ASCII characters)
  • Restrictions: No spaces, no hyphens at start/end

Examples

✅ Valid domains:

  • alice.x1
  • 💎diamond.x1
  • 火.x1 (Chinese character)
  • crypto-2024.x1

❌ Invalid domains:

  • Alice.x1 (uppercase not allowed)
  • my name.x1 (spaces not allowed)
  • -myname.x1 (hyphen at start)

Unicode & Emoji Support: X1NS fully supports emoji and international characters! Each emoji counts as 1 character for pricing.

Step 3: Register Your Domain

Once you find an available domain:

  1. Click Register
  2. Review the registration fee
  3. Approve the transaction in your wallet
  4. Wait for blockchain confirmation (~1 second)

Step 4: Manage Your Domain

After registration, visit My Domains to:

Set as Primary Domain

Make this domain your Web3 username:

# Click the star icon (⭐) on your domain
# Confirm the transaction
# Your domain now displays instead of your wallet address!

Tokenize as NFT

Convert your domain to a tradeable NFT:

# Click "Tokenize as NFT"
# Pay small tokenization fee (~0.01 XNT)
# Domain becomes a tradeable SPL token

Edit Profile

Add social links and crypto addresses:

# Click "Edit Profile"
# Add Twitter, Discord, Website
# Set X1, SOL, ETH, BTC addresses
# Save changes

List on Marketplace

Sell your domain on the marketplace:

# First tokenize the domain (if not already)
# Click "List on Marketplace"
# Set your price in XNT
# Confirm listing
